UMCU and Tragpi sign agreement
On Friday, October 23rd, the University Medical Centre Utrecht and Tragpi agreed on the implementation of all Tragpi products throughout the organization.
The agreement includes measurement of clinical results with Pi®, cost management with CostPerform, benchmarking of staff efficiency with Hospital Benchmark and DRG benchmarking with Tragpi’s DRG benchmarking tool. Mr. Boudewijn Peters, Director of Information Management and Finance signed on behalf of the UMCU. He assigned Senior Controller Roland van Pelt as project responsible.
Mr. Boudewijn Peters: “Demand for structured performance information and cost management is coming from all areas of the organization. The University Medical Center Utrecht has been working with Tragpi products Pi® and CostPerform at different departments in the past years. We know Tragpi as a true partner in development of management information and with Tragpi’s support we will create the necessary transparency.” Steven Lugard, Director of Tragpi, expressed the commitment of Tragpi to walk this road together with the University Medical Center. Tragpi and UMCU will together search for continuous improvement and develop even better metrics to monitor complex hospital organizations like UMCU.
To support UMCU’s quest for clinical effectiveness and memorize the occasion, Tragpi presented to the UMCU the ‘UMCU-Tragpi Prize’. The UMCU-Tragpi Prize will be rewarded yearly to a researcher or department that made a major contribution to clinical effectiveness. The results should have measurable effects in Pi®. The prize, € 2.500, is meant for publication of the results, congress participation or other ways to make the experiences available to a wider audience.
Mr. Boudewijn Peters: “This prize allows us to reward individual departments that execute our strategy to the best”.
UMCU and Tragpi are looking forward to an inspiring partnership.
