FTE Benchmark

Open your mind to operational excellence

Hospital Efficiency Benchmark is a tool, which enables management to have an insight into the efficiency and productivity of the hospitals staff. This easy-to-create-tool will show, per department, where your hospital performs better than the benchmark and where efficiencies can be gained. Over 100 hospitals in Europe are measuring their performance using this tool

Efficiency Measurement in Hospitals
The online tool consists of a comparison of your hospital departments in a uniform Hospital Benchmark setting. Although there are many similarities in the setup of hospitals, differences do exist. Patient flows differ, types of patients differ, and physical set-up of hospitals also differ. To be able to compare the correct types of FTEs and production from different hospitals with different departments with each other, Tragpi classifies departments of participating hospitals into uniform Benchmark Groups. The combination of all groups available results in a virtual hospital, which contains all FTE and production of participating hospitals.

Measure the Performance of your Organisation and your Staff
Hospital benchmark shows which departments are efficient and which departments are less efficient. For example, it creates an insight into the productivity of operating theatres, shows the utilisation rates of your MRI and the productivity of the staff working on the department. With Hospital Productivity Benchmark you can immediately answer all of these questions, at a quick glance.

Creation and Validation
Several types of data are retrieved from the Hospital Information System. Specifically, information regarding staff and production per department is of importance. With this information we establish the types of department, the parameters the departments will be benchmarked with, their production and the types of FTE of the departments. These figures are important to make sure the correct data is being compared to the benchmark.
