With Pi® Quality for external accountability you are always on top of your hospital's performance on indicators defined by the Dutch health care authorities

Pi® Quality (or: Pi® Q) will automatically calculate your key performance indicators (KPIs) using your Hospital Information System (HIS). This is done in a uniform way for all hospitals, independent of the used HIS and according to the definitions of the Inspection of Healthcare in the Netherlands. This results in:

•  Less effort in calculating your KPI's
•  Better comparison between hospitals
•  More time to analyze the results and to adjust

With Pi® Q you will have up-to-date information: scores are monthly updated and distributed through our user friendly web based application. This will encourage you in the process of implementing improvements. The first effects can be visible in Pi® Q within a month.

In combination with the Tragpi (cost)price information and DRG Benchmark you will be fully prepared for negotiations with the health care insurance companies on the quality of your care.

Note:
For about 40% of the obligatory KPIs local registration is necessary. If a multi disciplinary meeting has taken place, if decubitus is in order and what the pain score was is not always registered. Itémedical (from the MediScore IC registration-software used in almost all Dutch hospitals)  has developed specific MediScore modules for all indicators that need registration. These modules are user friendly, limit the additional registration effort to a minimum by cross referencing with the HIS and make monitoring the registration simple. These MediScore modules can be adapted to your specific situation, which prevents multiple functionality. Furthermore, these modules can be easily linked to Pi ® so that your scores are available in Pi ® Q immediately, without providing extra data. Linking to other floor registrations not Itémedical is possible as well, but realizing this will take more effort and time.
